For a cocktail hour or a dinner, a solo guitarist, a singer and guitarist, a Spanish guitarist, a jazz duo, an acoustic duo or a pianist can all play at a volume your guests can talk across. Last Consulate (one musician on upright bass and guitar over downtempo electronics) is a great choice when you want something a little more modern. In December the Christmas jazz trio plays the season’s songs at the same volume.

A party with a dance floor

A trio or a quartet is the size to book when you want people dancing. Tejas Singh and Tony Medina can both start small and grow to a four piece over the evening, and the Americana band, the yacht rock band, the soul and R&B band and the funk band each get people dancing to a different sound. Live band karaoke is the one where your guests take the mic.

A DJ, on its own or after the band

The DJ is open format, and can play the whole night or take over after any band on the roster through the same sound system.

When you want something your guests will stop and watch, book Dirty Flamenco, Changes Jazz Trio with a saxophone added, or René Moffatt playing his own songs. Your Bird Can Sing gets a whole crowd singing along, and Firstwater plays a sound bath at an offsite or a wellness day.

A smoky voice and a guitar played with a funk guitarist's right hand. Tony Medina plays the blues and the rock and roll that came out of it, Freddie King and B.B. Little Moses Jones brings its own sound engineer, plays a clean show when the night calls for one, and books for holiday parties, galas, weddings and milestone birthdays in Denver and across Colorado.

Firstwater

One facilitator, live instruments and a sound system tuned to the venue

A sound bath for your team, offsite or retreat. Your people lie down in low light for seventy-five minutes with nothing to do and nothing to say, with live instruments played over composed music and bass deep enough to feel in your chest, and Firstwater opens and closes the session with ceremony. Firstwater brings it to your venue or holds it in a partner space in Denver, and it books for wellness weeks, team building days, retreats and transition days.

Your Bird Can Sing

A Beatles sing-along led by two musicians, for everyone from five to ninety

You know the part of Hey Jude where everyone starts singing. A Beatles sing-along is a playful hour of that. Two musicians play and lead the singing, and by the second song that's your whole crowd. It books for family parties, company events, weddings, community programs and senior living, indoors or out.

What's the difference between a "named act" and a configuration?

A named act, like Tejas Singh or Dirty Flamenco, is booked under its own name, so you know exactly who is playing. A format, like a jazz duo or a yacht rock band, is played by professional musicians we match to your date and your venue. Either one can be booked by sending us the date.

Where do the acts play?

Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs and Fort Collins, and the mountain towns: Vail, Beaver Creek, Aspen, Breckenridge, Telluride, Steamboat Springs, Winter Park and Crested Butte. For a venue outside the Denver metro area, just let us know where it is and we can price the travel with the date.
