- The sung version, for cocktail hours, welcome drinks and patios: familiar songs sung at a talking level, enough to feel like live music without taking over the conversation.
- Guitar and upright bass
- The instrumental version, for dinner. The melodies stay familiar, and without lyrics the music sits under the table talk.
- The trio: voice, guitar and upright bass
- Both duos on one night, with a sung set and an instrumental set, and a fuller sound for a bigger crowd.

Acoustic duo and trio questions
Stage sizes and power for each size are on the technical page, and the questions every booking shares, from substitutions to volume limits, are on the full question list.
- How loud is it?
- About as loud as the conversation around it. Guests can tell it's live music from across the venue, and the people at the nearest table still talk without leaning in. Two or three acoustic musicians set the level to the space, and they stay at that level all night.
- How long can the duo play?
- Sets run 45 to 60 minutes with 15 to 20 minutes between them, and music keeps playing through the breaks. A single hour works well, and so does arrival through dessert. If you think the night might run long, let us know when you book.
- How much space and power does it need?
- A duo sets up in a corner of about 8 by 6 feet on one circuit, and the trio needs a little more. Sound support that's the right size for the venue comes with the booking.
- Can the acoustic duo play outside?
- Yes, and patios are its regular work. The sound support is what lets two musicians fill a garden, and the duo needs a covered, level and dry spot with power run to it. Colorado evenings cool fast, so we agree a plan for moving indoors with you ahead of time.
