November through New Year's Eve
The dates of the season.
The Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through the season, plus New Year’s Eve, with Thanksgiving and Christmas left out. The peak dates are marked, because a December Saturday in Denver usually prices above a Thursday in November.

Who plays it
Three common configurations of a holiday party.
Most corporate holiday parties book one of these three. They can also be paired, for instance a duo through drinks and dinner with the DJ taking over for the dancing.

A duo covers drinks and dinner without anybody having to raise their voice, and it’s a great choice for a night with speeches in it.

A solid DJ gets people moving, can cover the whole night, and is the most common single booking of the corporate season.

Live band karaoke is a great choice when you want the whole office singing, and the Christmas jazz trio plays the season’s songs through dinner. A pianist works well for an office party that stays a dinner all evening. Little Moses Jones plays the 90s and 2000s R&B and hip-hop as a six piece with its own sound engineer, for the party that wants the whole floor singing. Every act is on our roster page.
The season
Three things to know about a December party.
There are usually speeches. Somebody thanks the team, somebody hands out an award. We provide an announcement microphone at every size, and the music stops while the speaker is still steps from it.
Half the crowd wants to talk and the other half is waiting to dance. A duo through dinner with the DJ after it gives both halves their night, through the same sound system.
The venue is usually a restaurant or a hotel ballroom. We settle setup, power and the volume limit with the venue before the day, so there are no surprises when the doors open.

Downtown hotels
Denver’s December venues.
A Denver company party in December usually means a downtown hotel, and the hotels are built for dinners more than bands, so we settle setup, power and the volume limit with them before the day.

- Which dates does the Denver holiday season cover?
- The Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from late November through New Year's Eve, with Thanksgiving and Christmas left out. Tell us the date and the venue and we'll check the booking calendar.
- How loud is it?
- Through dinner, quiet enough that a table of colleagues can talk across it, silent for the remarks, and once the program ends, as loud as the dance floor and the venue allow. If the venue has a sound limit, let us know and we'll plan the night around it.
- What does the venue need to provide?
- Usually a dock time, an elevator window and about an hour of setup before the space is yours. Setup can run 45 to 90 minutes depending on the size of the act and needs one or two dedicated 20-amp circuits. We coordinate all of it with the banquet staff before the day.
- Can our procurement process clear a booking in time?
- Yes. We can be set up as a vendor, quote against a purchase order and send whatever paperwork your finance team needs. Just let us know what the process looks like.
Holding it in January
The January holiday party.
Many Denver companies now hold the party in January, and the venues have followed, with holiday packages that run into the third week of January and past it.
Everything on this page works just as well in January. Live band karaoke, the yacht rock band and Dirty Flamenco are all great choices for a January party, when your guests aren’t spread across a season of invitations.
