The Park Hyatt Beaver Creek sits on the plaza at the center of the village, The Pines Lodge holds the smaller, higher end of it a short climb above the core, and The Ritz-Carlton Bachelor Gulch runs the same program from its own enclave, with its own approach road and its own dock. The mountain half is what makes Beaver Creek different from the other resort towns. - The way the venue runs its access: by sleigh, snowcat or gondola in winter, by vehicle in summer. We settle the route, the schedule and where cases wait through dinner with the venue before the day, because those answers decide what gear we bring and when it travels. - How does setup work in the village core?
- By dock and service route, on a window the hotel schedules; the escalators are for guests. We measure the distance from the dock to the floor and plan for it. Setup runs 45 to 90 minutes depending on the size of the band, which needs one or two dedicated 20-amp circuits and from about 6 by 4 feet for a solo to 14 by 10 for a quartet. The village sits near 8,100 feet, so we plan a longer sound check, with a retune between sets.
- Is there a published noise cap in Beaver Creek?
