The Little Nell at the base of Aspen Mountain and the Hotel Jerome in the town's core anchor the dinner calendar, The St. Regis Aspen carries the ballroom end of it, and Aspen Meadows is the campus a working offsite actually runs on, sessions by day and dinner on the property at night. The Limelight holds the more casual end of the market, welcome nights and closing parties.
Venues at this level hold vendors to their standards: a certificate of insurance, load-in on the venue's schedule, and the cap and curfew honoured as written. The certificate comes with the contract.
Where the retreat wants one act across the whole evening, Tejas Singh can start as a duo and finish as a quartet on the same contract. Where it wants dinner music and no more, a jazz duo of upright bass and guitar holds the evening at a volume the table talks across.

The town's rules push the same direction. Outdoor amplified sound at a private event in Aspen was capped at 80 dBA at the perimeter, between 9am and 8pm, when we checked, with neighbours within 250 feet owed seven days' notice.
